Noddy's Adventure

At the start of July Jons Cakes was contacted by Social Chain to help with a task they had been set off Dreamworks.

They had been asked to get a Giant Noddy cake created and delivered to Channel 5's Milkshake studio as a surprise to promote their new studio from Dreamworks and to film the process at each step. 

So we created a design and sent it for approval with the brief we were given, they loved it and it was the biggest cake we have ever planned to make, we then extended the ideas to Give it that little bit extra adding  a moving train, Rainbow sponge and hidden Smarties ready for detective Noddy to find. adding these details also added extra length and width to the already monster size cake. 

We got started on the bake with the Social Chain team filming and interviewing us along the way, The whole process was a challenge but one We took in our stride. 

after the creation was finished we had a very nervous 4 hour drive from Manchester to London to deliver the cake, each bump, break and turn was a pull at the heart. not for the faint hearted. 

after we got there and everything set up the staff came in and all were blown away. We couldn't have wanted a better reception to the finished creation. 

Then the knife came out and my heart melted, Bye Bye Noddy but everyone said you were Delicious.
